Stacey Alvarez de la Campa, Worldwide Sustainability Warriors
Stacey Alvarez de la Campa is a legal and educational consultant, environmental activist, and is the Anti-Money Laundering Administrator at the Barbados office of Lex Caribbean Attorneys-at-Law. She is also the founder of the organization Worldwide Sustainability Warriors, a movement which strives to empower those who wish to positively contribute to sustainable living, and focus on the collective impact of individual efforts.
Stacey is the Community Manager with Island Innovation, an organization that seeks to promote sustainable change across islands and rural areas around the world by empowering island stakeholders through facilitating their ability to share best practice and knowledge. She has used this platform to raise awareness in relation to crucial issues such as climate change, conservation, pollution, and the importance of recycling, and played a crucial role in facilitating the participation of Caribbean territories at the United Nations Food Summit of 2021.

Rituraj Phukan, the Indigenous People’s Climate Justice Forum
Rituraj Phukan is an environmental writer, adventurer & naturalist based out of Assam, a biodiversity-rich, climate change impacted province in the northeast of India. He is the Founder of the Indigenous People’s Climate Justice Forum and also serves as the Vice-President of the US-based Grassroots Coalition for Environmental and Economic Justice. He is a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and sits on the board of civil society groups in the Americas, Europe and Australia.
Rituraj has personally experienced the impacts of climate change in the polar frontiers of the Arctic and Antarctic, in the Himalayas and across India. Having worked extensively at the grassroots, he says “Water is the local issue of global climate change, for people, and for biodiversity.”
Rituraj was personally trained as a Climate Reality Leader by Nobel Laureate Al Gore and was featured in the former US Vice-President’s 2017 book ‘An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power’. He authored the chapter “Biodiversity in a warming world” in the Amazon No.1 Bestseller ‘Climate Abandoned,’ a book launched in the USA on Earth Day 2019. He was an accredited Observer at the UN Climate Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021,” and has recently been selected as an European Climate Pact Ambassador.

Marcalee Alexander, Sustain Our Abilities
Marcalee Alexander, MD has been an expert in rehabilitation medicine since 1983. Throughout her career, she has focused her work on quality of life and the impact of climate change on persons with disabilities. In 2019 as a means to motivate people to embrace a need for action, she began an awareness walk from Canada to Key West regarding climate change, disability and the need for an accessible, health-promoting environment. Subsequently she founded and is president of Sustain Our Abilities and Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Climate Change and Health.
In December 2021, a personal tragedy prompted her to realize the need to expand her focus to include the need for a Green Renaissance to Accelerate a Healthy Atmosphere for Mankind. She believes community can conquer climate change and is working to establish The Day for Tomorrow as a time for people to come together in community to promote awareness and action regarding climate justice, climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Format
Forget Zoom. With your avatar, walk around and use spatial sound and video to communicate just like in real life. The event will take place in Gather.Town, a stable, easy-to-use 2D platform, that enables a real level of engagement. More information to come after your participation confirmation along with the attribution of your Networking table number.
